Happy Pride Month!

Pride Month is an annual celebration of the LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer, and others) community that takes place in June each year. This month is a time for members of the LGBTQ+ community to come together to celebrate their identities and fight for their rights.

The month of June was originally chosen to commemorate the 1969 Stonewall Riots, which were sparked by a police raid on a gay bar in Greenwich Village, New York City. This event was a pivotal moment in the LGBTQ+ rights movement and has been seen as the beginning of the fight for equal rights.
