A Life at Risk: An LGBTQI Person in Afghanistan Needs Your Help
Since the fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban in August 2021, the LGBTQI community has faced unprecedented levels of persecution and violence. LGBTQI individuals are systematically subjected to:
- Arbitrary arrest
- Torture
- Public humiliation and punishment
- Sexual violence
- And in some cases, execution
Today, their living conditions have deteriorated to the point where many no longer have access to the most basic human necessities—including food, medicine, clothing, safe shelter, and medical care. LGBTQI people in Afghanistan live under constant fear of being discovered, detained, or killed.
As Taliban violence intensifies, the situation becomes even more dangerous and unbearable. Many LGBTQI individuals are forced into absolute invisibility, isolation, and homelessness.
The absence of safety, food, shelter, and healthcare places their lives in immediate and ongoing danger.
Rainbow Afghanistan Organization is working tirelessly to provide urgent, life-saving support through emergency assistance programs, including:
- Food and medicine supplies
- Essential clothing
- Medical and psychological support
- Safe shelter and protection
- Emergency relocation to safer countries when necessary
Your support can save a life
Your contribution does more than provide a meal or a night of shelter. It:
- Restores hope to those trapped in complete darkness
- Provides safety to people living under the threat of violence and death
- Makes survival, healing, and rescue possible
Right now — at this very moment — an LGBTQI person in Afghanistan is fighting to stay alive.
Please act today. Your support can mean the difference between life and death.
